Draw Your Design
Use a pencil to draw the outline of your herb stripper onto the wood.
Cutting the Wood
Using a tenon saw you cut the desired length of wood for your herb stripper.
Shaping the Handle
Using a Shinto and other shaped rasps the handle is shaped to fit your hand.
Drilling
Use a hand drill to bore different size holes into your wood.
Sanding
Various grits of sandpaper is then used to smooth the wood.
Oiling the Spatula
The next step involves applying food safe oil to seal the wood and reveal the grain of the wood.

Lastly, it’s herb stripping time!
